Christina Rawls-Dolin

Chief Executive Officer, MS, LPC-S, LMHC

Christina is iPSYCHS’ Chief Executive Officer with extensive behavioral healthcare experience culminating almost 15 years of excellence and dedication to the profession. She has a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Touro University’s The School of Health Sciences with a concentration in School Psychology; Bachelors of Arts at City University of New York John Jay College in Forensic Psychology, and an Associates of Arts and Science from The State University of New York Westchester Community College.

 

Christina discusses what differentiates iPSYCHS in comparison to other comparable behavioral healthcare services, which includes, iPSYCHS CEO has extensive academic and work history within the industry. Prior to founding iPSYCHS, Christina has worked in nearly every sector of behavioral healthcare, it’s given Christina an in depth, accurate scope of what is urgently needed and what is lacking within behavioral healthcare services.

Before Christina founded iPSYCHS, she worked at Thriveworks, which is a nationwide private practice of licensed psychotherapists and psychiatrists. Prior, Christina worked as an Assessment Specialist II for HCA Healthcare which is a healthcare network of hospitals. At HCA, Christina conducted emergency psychiatric assessments. 

Previous to HCA, Christina worked as a Psychology Associate I at Greensville Correctional Center, with Armor Healthcare and The Commonwealth of Virginia. She provided behavioral health services, which included, inmate intakes, individual and group counseling, psychological services with the general population, and restorative housing. Before Greensville, Christina worked at Riverside Regional Jail as a Mental Health Professional with Corizon Health, now known as YesCare and Tehum, whom is a privately held prison healthcare contractor in the United States. Additionally at Riverside, Christina worked with Wellpath, who is a correctional healthcare corporation for-profit. Prior, Christina worked for intensive in-home and behavioral health skill building, which is solution-focused counseling model of service. Apart from Christina’s internship and employment experience she worked at the YWCA Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange program. Christina observed and documented interactions with the parent and child for the family court system. Christina interned at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Positive Directions which is a day treatment substance abuse outpatient clinic. Christina taught patients the skills necessary to live alcohol and drug-free. There she utilized the 12-step disease model approach to sobriety. At Westchester Jewish Community Services, Christina provided case management and mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. During her time at, Family Services of Westchester, Christina held roles, such as providing counseling services for high school students at Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, NY; along with working as a veteran co-facilitator of a program called Vet2Vet, which brings military veterans and their families together through Veteran-to-Veteran events, social activities, and community service, easing the transition from military to civilian life. Christina has conducted empirical research studies on schizophrenic patients at Manhattan Psychiatric Center, a part of her graduate program at Touro University in New York City. ​ Lastly, Christina is a veteran, who earned the rank of Sergeant in The United States Army. She mentions, her favorite activity while in training was rappelling down a 40-foot wall, known as the Confidence Tower or Warrior Tower. She states, “I would do it over and over again for fun after the training part was over.” “This is one of the places where I continued to learn about myself, what I was made of, and I slowly began to realize my silent, but strong and humble leadership characteristics.” Christina also participated in OCS, which is the Army Officer Candidate School at Columbia University and Fordham University in New York City before realizing her lifelong career was not in the military, but in serving the country in a licensed professional healthcare capacity. Christina’s approach is a trauma-informed framework, psycho-educational, diverse, authentic, and anti-oppressive, and employs a plethora of theoretical frameworks to best suit her client's needs. My goal is to assist with psycho-integration and self-actualization. She interacts with people where they are at and leads with dignity and honesty. Christina believes authenticity leads to positive change. She states, “If society at large can take accountability, get over their ego, and integrate ourselves as a collective the world would be a better place.” Christina reports incorporating structure, empathy, cheer, and self-awareness into her sessions and her c-suite leadership style.
